If you are looking for a classically written book from Steven Tyler, don’t read “Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?” If you are seeking the words of truth and wisdom from a life well squandered on sex, drugs and rock n’ roll…Steven Tyler is your man. Wading through the curse words was well worth the effort as a lot of things from Tyler’s life of excess and abuse now make much better sense. NFTF found itself having many a-ha moments during the course of reading this rock n’ roll memoir co authored with David Dalton. For sure, Tyler is no John Lennon but this tribute to the rock n’ roll lifestyle packs quite a punch. Tyler’s rendition about events brought about by money-grubbing record companies, promoters, and managers makes NFTF NOT want to be a part of the scene.
Where exactly does one draw a line and say NO to those grubbers of money anyway? Aren’t the rockers into making money as well? Who knows? What NFTF does know is that this is a memoir of rock n’ roll greatness…warts and all. Truth be told, will Tyler manage to stay sober if indeed he resumes his rocky relationship with Aerosmith? Read the book and decide for yourselves.
