Citing a vision of Napoleon crowning himself as a reason to seek another constituent friendly way to hold his Inauguration/Swearing In Celebration, Councilmember Paul Krekorian posed for a picture with NFTF (in hat) and companion Joyce Rubin. The event, staged at VNSO Park on Saturday 7/2/2011, was well attended by neighborhood constituents and political reps from all over. All attendees helped to swear in the newly elected official by reading a script thoughtfully provided by the councilmember’s staff when an attendee signed in. All attendees were asked to donate non-perishable food items for the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry which were gladly accepted. It appears that Councilmember Krekorian has many friends within the Los Angeles political arena such as: Councilmembers Tom LaBonge, Bill Rosendahl and Paul Koretz. In addition, L.A. County Controller Wendy Gueuel and Representative Brad Sherman were in attendance to meet and greet constituents as well as aid in the swearing-in of Krekorian. No new strategies were unveiled by any pols, but Councilmember Krekorian did reiterate his committment to cutting red tape and paper work to local businesses as an incentive to retain them. Councilmember Krekorian recently held an event at LA Valley College for District 2’s Jobs and Business Development Advisory Committee which NFTF also attended. There can be no denying Councilmember Krekorian’s heartfelt committment to his constituents whether they citizens or businesses. NFTF states this as a business person and citizen and not as a rocker journalist.
