Highway Down is slated to appear at Joe’s Great American Bar and Grill Friday night 4/20 @ 9pm. The club is located at 4311 W. Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank, Ca. and Highway Down will keep you line dancing until midnight. This lively group of musicians are nice guys that want people to enjoy themselves and have a good time. Their gig at Ireland’s 32 was well attended and guest musician Cary Park really added a solid back beat to the cover songs and originals as well. NFTF even noticed a faint hint of Jimi Hendrix’s “And The Wind Cries Mary”. The opening chords to the Hendrix tune were during a transition to another fine cover by Tom Petty. NFTF was grateful to Highway Down for not playing “Sweet Home Alabama” at Ireland’s 32, but will allow them to play it Friday if requested…wink. NFTF would love to see them enter the Los Angeles Music Network’s (LAMN) Battle Of the Bands which is occurring this summer. This contest offers a lot of coverage and exposure which Highway Down could use as they ascend the ladder of renown.
