Last night Jan Edward Vogels’ art captured the imaginations’ of residents of the NoHo SAC and attendees of this brilliant collection’s opening. All of those in attendance agree that this is the most interesting show thus far at the NoHo SAC. NFTF overheard some pieces being dubbed “Purple Haze” and images of Jimi Hendrix being conjured up to “Orange Sunshine” with visions of rocker group “Cream” riffling through those gathered around the art minds’. The art is graphic in nature and produced by printer and is the culmination of work that was instigated originally by songwriter, singer and composer Graham Nash in the late 80’s. Nash had begun experimenting with digital images of his photography on his Mac and the quality was not what he wanted which began an odyssey to build a better printer. Today, Vogels’ art is the final word on this process and is absolutely brilliant!
